What are you really passionate about? Do you really know, are you drifting week by week hoping that magic wish gets answered? Is it a feeling, that constantly changes? Do you feel hopeless you'll never find your passion?
I've been gone not blogging for a few weeks, and I think I found my passion (for myself, right now). I want to share with you what I found.
For me, my passion comes with long nights after work. After I've spent a full day at work, I still manage to get sometimes up to 5 extra hours working on the side. I don't go into this saying, "Ugh, do I have to spend more time on this tonight.. I am tired from work." I work outside of work because it's something enjoy, more so than feeling tired the next morning.

Passion is the long nights
Passion isn't something that gives you life, without taking some away. In Latin, passion means "to suffer". To be passionate is to ask, what are you willing to suffer for? Jesus Christ's passion was not for His sake, but for our own. While we will not have to suffer like Jesus, the suffering we have for our passions is real.
For me, my passion comes with long nights after work. After I've spent a full day at work, I still manage to get sometimes up to 5 extra hours working on the side. I don't go into this saying, "Ugh, do I have to spend more time on this tonight.. I am tired from work." I work outside of work because it's something enjoy, more so than feeling tired the next morning.
Passion is free
Time and time again I tell myself that my passion can replace my full-time job. Again and again I tell myself this, hoping that I would be the oh-so lucky person that will never have to work a day in my life. Time and time again, I am always wrong.
As soon as I put money in the picture, I start to do what I'm doing for the wrong reasons. My passion becomes transactional. I'm no longer doing this because I want to, instead I start to do it for money, and that demotivates me. This article puts it together nicely.
Once you incentivize your hobbies with cash, however, you might find you begin to enjoy them less and less. Suddenly, your hobby isn’t just a creative pursuit you use to stretch your mental muscles and blow off steam, it’s the way you bring home the bacon.
Passion is not fixed
I tend to have a little bit of ADHD on the things I like to work on in my spare time. As I mentioned above, I have a passion I'm pursuing at this moment - by no means my passion is or will ever-be fixed. That belief, holds a lot of us back.
What's my passion?
Right now, it's building software for people. I am intensely motivated to build a product that others can use and find useful. On the docket now is My Budget; free desktop budgeting software with Electron. I'm writing it for my own uses, and want to share it with others. Heck - I'll even pay you to use it, if that doesn't scream passion then I don't know what does.
